![]() Beautifull art of design (locations, characters, all those loading screens and erotic cards / superb)in that game. Even with long load times before 1.2 came out. ![]() Basicaly you choose one style and click away.ĭialogues were butchered and the overall impression suffered from it but it was still good enough to play. I wish its combat system was less action oriented. It was nice to visit that old bugger after all these years.īefore that i went through Witcher two times, on normal and hard difficulty. Last game i finished was Half Life in Source. Once I get my tax return I plan on getting a new PC that will run The Witcher, and I'll need to get NWN2 also for the Planescape trilogy. Not recommending this game to you guys by any stretch of the imagination as it fails to meet any sort of codexian rpg standard, but I have a stats/character customization junkie deep inside me that is deeply satisfied by the mechanics of this game. The story and VA makes me cringe, but the job system is very interesting and the game has been suprisingly fun to play. Wasn't going to touch it with a 10 foot pole since I hate childish stories/characters and I hate the DBZ style artwork in the game, but I picked it up for $20 mostly out of curiosity. Even saying that I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I'm currently playing Blue Dragon. I get different things out of both of them. I'm one of those controversial gamers that enjoy both western style rpgs and jrpgs for their individual qualities. When my internet returns to full speed I will patch it, get 1eyedking's dialogue fix, and turn the voices off completely (which I often do anyway). I think I'll leave it alone for now though. My general first impression was of something that is trying to be quite different in terms of game mechanics, which of course should be encouraged. ![]() Alchemy is fun, and the character progression looks. So far it looks like I will be having almost as much fun in there as I will be playing the game. I'm not too cut up about it though, it wasn't really my fault. I did what I thought was the "right thing" and a guy got killed as a result. The atmosphere is nice though, and I liked the ambiguity of the one choice I have had to make so far. I don't like the camera control, but I seem to have that issue with every game I play these days. It's still pretty enough for me on minimum settings. I have to run it at the absolute lowest settings or else the frame rate is impossible, but that isn't really a problem for me. This is a real shame because I can tell that there is a whole lot of lowbrow cool lurking in this setting, but the dialogue and voice overs just turn it into a joke. At least that way I will be able to start playing!Īs for The Witcher, I tried it for an hour or so, and the dialogues are even worse than I expected. I think I'll just play a Cleric and not even bother with multiclassing. It's a combination of being anal and not really understanding DnD multiclassing very well. Well I got MotB and The Witcher for Christmas, and since then I have been going over my build.
